Kyla – KEY la ( population of 77,296) is the capital of Kyla Councilate . It sits on the east bank of the Vari River, at the point where the Ruapara River flows into it, a mere 40 km south of Selka's Fort Varinde. It has a large dock area where agricultural and mineral commodities are loaded from barges onto riverships for shipment to the east. Kyla is also an important agricultural processing center and a major military base. By history and location, it is the commercial center for the Kyla Councilate and the upper Ruapara Valley.
